Jim Merrigan’s Visitation and Service
NJIPMS lost a great man when Jim Merrigan passed away this past Monday, June 6th. A fixture at club meetings for decades, Jim rarely missed a meeting and always had an interesting build to share and humor to spare.
Informatin on Jim’s visitation and service are this Saturday the 11th. All details are posted on the Fiore Funeral Home’s website.
Keira Quinn
As many of you have heard, NJIPMS member Martin Quinn’s daughter Keira lost her battle with cancer earlier today. The viewing for Keira will be on Tuesday, March 15th at Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne NJ. The viewing times will be from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm. The service will be held Wednesday March 16th at 11am at Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Shelter in Keira’s name.
The NJIPMS eBoard, and the rest of the club, give our sincerest condolences to Martin and his family in this unbelievably tough time.

The last of the USMC’s CH-46’s
One of my friends, Fred Grill, who was a flight mechanic on Sikorsky HH-53’s during the Vietnam war sent me these pictures. Due to the historic markings on this aircraft I though the club would be interested in these pictures.
This aircraft is one of four operational CH-46’s remaining in USMC service and was involved in the American evacuation of Vietnam in 1975. Active duty Marines have restored the aircraft to almost pristine condition. In July the aircraft will be retired and displayed at the Marine museum in Quantico Virginia with final disposition at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC.
These pictures were taken in May at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey while the aircraft was supporting Fleet Week operations.
