iHobby 2016 is now in the books. The Raritan Expo Center hosted this year, the first time in a long time (maybe ever?) the show has come to ‘Jersey. Held in conjunction with a model train show, the expo hall was filled with people.
The manufacturers participating had some nice displays, of particular interest to your editor were the Vallejo and Iwata booths and their product demonstrations. Others on hand included Xuron, Flexi-File, Mega Hobby, and other outlets. While this was mostly a trade show with little retail sales going on, a few vendors did offer their products for sale to the public.
The New Jersey IPMS Make-N-Take was very well attended. With the build area set up in a huge U-shaped table area with at least 2 dozen seats, it was almost always packed with kids building kits donated by various vendors at the event.
All in all, a great showing for the hobby in general, iHobby, and especially NJIPMS.
