June 2013 Meeting Photos
The June 2013 meeting went off without a hitch. North Africa Night saw a limited turn out, but the quality of the work more than made up for the lack of entries. The meeting portion of the night saw mention of the Quarter Midget racecar group build for next month, and the discussion of the next group build, which may be 1/350th scale destroyers or other small escorts (the new 1/350th scale Flower class corvettes look very nice, and are inexpensive).
Below is a slideshow of the entries on the table, and other kits brought along to showcase the in-progress on some. *NOTE*: One of the photos features nudity. If small scale representations of naked flesh offend you, then look away.
Content Added
As time allows, I’ve been adding the older reviews to the website, new links added to the Aircraft, Ship, and Armor pages.
The June 2013 newsletter was also added to the Newsletter page.

Review Added: IJN Yahagi – Hasagawa – 1/350th Scale
Starting on the long road to restoring all of the NJIPMS website material. Here’s the first review to return from the dead: Martin J. Quinn’s look at the Hasagawa IJN Yahagi.
U.S.S. New Jersey Club Display
On Saturday, May 18th, members of NJIPMS visited the U.S.S. New Jersey in Camden for a club display. Set up in the ship’s wardroom, club members displayed completed models, answered questions, and worked on current projects. The battleship staff and visitors were very happy with the event, and may do another this coming fall.
May 2013 Meeting
There was no specific contest for the May 2013 NJIPMS meeting, resulting in an open contest, which we’ll have the results of next month.
We were all saddened to learn of the passing of club member Rich Zaris, who passed away unexpectedly after a short battle with cancer on May 15th. Rich’s 1/72 Heller Javelin was on the table, along with a photo of him. He will be missed.
U.S.S. New Jersey Club Visit: May 18th
In what is becoming an NJIPMS tradition, the club will be setting up a model display on the battleship USS New Jersey in Camden, on Saturday, May 18th, 2013. Full details will be given at the May 17th meeting, but since that is just the day prior to the visit, please Contact Us for any questions on exact times, parking, and what to bring (basically any models are welcome). This exhibit has had great turnout in the past, and the museum is always extremely welcoming and grateful for out efforts. Hope to see you there.

We’re still working out how to best bring large amounts of photos to the new website. In the meantime, the IPMS USA website has posted all of our photos from the April 6th show.
Photos can be viewed here:

We will have the listing of winners in each category along with photos of each posted within the coming days.
April 2013 Meeting
The April 12th meeting had a high turn-out. Dinner was served, ribs and fried chicken. The tone was low-key, however, and the contest an open one, as everyone recovered from, and recounted MosquitoCon experiences. Actual numbers of attendees, kits, etc., will be discussed at the May meeting, but suffice it to say both are well into the hundreds as is the norm for MCon.
We’re still working to process all of the photos, and should have the contest winners posted, and all photos ready within a week or two. Until then, here’s what was on the table at last week’s meeting.
