\nNOVEMBER 17- DECEMBER 8, 2013<\/b>
\n\"CurrentExhibit_PressPhotos\"<\/a> The\u00a0Martin Hicks Gallery at the\u00a0Belskie\u00a0Museum of Art,\u00a0Closter,\u00a0N.J.\u00a0proudly presents a\u00a0unique\u00a0exhibition\u00a0of\u00a0handmade model planes, trains, boats and lighthouses. Most\u00a0of the models have been built primarily\u00a0from scratch and are in\u00a0scale. The ship models range from small in\u00a0bottles\u00a0to two\u00a0magnificent\u00a07 ft. scratch built\u00a0 working replicas of the WWII ships “BISMARCK” AND “HMSHOOD.”\u00a0Many of the boat modelers are recipients of high awards for their work in exhibits throughout the United States.\u00a0There are well over a dozen boat models, a 4\u00a0ft\u00a0high lighthouse, a 1920’s working train set, and numerous plane models of all sizes and types.<\/p>\n

\u00a0In addition to the models on display there are four participating artists–Odd Andersen, Mary Ann Farrell, Scott Farrell and\u00a0LidaenisFerro–\u00a0whose paintings and photography reflect the\u00a0same\u00a0theme of the exhibit\u00a0and are available for purchase.<\/p>\n

This is an exhibit for all ages, young and old, and captures the very essence of these great American Pastimes.<\/p>\n
